Bangkok

The flight from Tel Aviv to Kiev lasted four and a half hours as planned. From Kiev, and after waiting a couple of hours I went on the flight to Bangkok. A couple of minutes after the plane took off we were over the clouds. They were as thick and as white like in fairy tales.

I left a bag in the luggage storage in the train station of Bangkok. The price was a little high for an extended period of time (20 baht a day for a small bag).
A minibus which goes straight from the train station to Pattaya at 11:00 AM is supposed to get there after three hours, but instead arrives after five hours. One hour of picking up people from hotels in the city, and another hour in the heavy traffic jams turn the minibus (350 baht) into an unworthy option.

Even though I went through it a couple of times, I’ve never stayed in Bangkok. In my first day in Thailand I ran away from it to Kanchanaburi and after I got back I was already on a bus to the Issan. Even after I came back from the north I didn’t stop to rest in Bangkok.
Bangkok, capital city of Thailand, is the largest city in the country. Full of smoke and complicated to navigate in. A local girl in the guest house where I was staying (Sawasdee Inn) told me that tourists are not allowed to rent a motorcycle in the city, something that I probably would not do anyway.

All my attempts to postpone my flight by a week have failed. I was told all flights were full until the end of April and that’s the way it is.
Last three days I went shopping. First day was dedicated almost fully to a special mall called Pantip Plaza which is located nearby Partonam market. Inside you can find everything related to computers and high-tech. Laptops, PDAs, computer parts and many accessories.
